Amazon fire phone - 3D gimmick or a hit?

Amazon fire phone, a phone that can display 3D effects (Like an 3DS minus the 3D slider)
Does it has enough to compete with other smartphone in the market currently?
If you are not familiar with Amazon devices like their kinder fire, they run on Android Operating System but is covered with Amazon software. You still get the Android experience, but stuff like app store are from them. One good point for this is that, you can easily purchase stuff from amazon at your finger tip.
So with Amazon fire phone, it creates the same experience to the user but with lots of new features.

At first glance, the Fire appears unremarkable, a typical black slab with a nearly 5-inch screen. -Specs: 2.2 GHz quad-core processor; 4.7-inch, 1280 x 720 pixel screen; 2.1-megapixel front and 13-megapixel rear cameras. Which means, on the paper, the spec does not lose out to other smartphone such as S5, LG G3 or even iphone 5.

Amazon is also throwing in two free services - a year's subscription to its Prime streaming music and video offering and free photo storage on its servers of all the pictures users take with the Fire. And that's a reminder that Amazon likely sees this as more than a phone, but as a way to get its customers to buy more stuff from its online store.

Unique features of the Fire are Firefly and Dynamic Perspective. Users activate Firefly by pressing a button on the side of the Fire. The app can identify songs, TV shows and movies just by listening to them and can use that information to provide details about them from sources like Amazon's own IMDb. It can identify products by their packaging or by their bar codes, allowing users to instantly check their prices and order them via Amazon. Which also can recognize phone number or email on a flyer or a paper that you wrote just now. (This is really amazing)

The Dynamic Perspective feature is a touchless gesture system combined with a kind of 3D-viewing effect. Users can access menus, shortcuts or additional information by simply tilting the screen left or right, rather than by swiping across it. The phone also uses those motions to change what it displays on its screen, an effect that looks a lot like one on Apple's iPhone 5S that shifts the wallpaper on that phone's home screen as you tilt it.

In CONCLUSION
Amazon fire phone is a start for them to tap into the market, It stands out from other competitors with it new features that really improved the way people purchase stuff from amazon much much easier. However, I have not find out on the review of the battery life, Due to the 3D screen, i suspect that battery drainage would be much more than a normal phone. If you are a amazon user, this phone is really highly recommended for you since you can just scan the thing you want to buy, and it will bring you to the purchase page on the phone =)
