iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3, and the amazing 5K 21 inch
After announcing the iPhone 6 and 6+ last month, Apple hosted another event to release their newest product yesterday; The new iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3, and a 27inch 5k Display iMac.
iPad Air 2- (0.61mm, 0.96pound)
- 18% Thinner than the previous generation of iPad air. If you compare side by side to the first generation of iPad 1, two of iPad Air2 is equal to one iPad 1.
- Powered by A8X chip (64bit, 2.5x faster, 40% faster CPU)
- 10 Hours battery life as usual
- 9.7inch display with 2048 x 1536 resolution
- Anti-reflective coating (Better viewing under direction sunlight or viewing at any angle)
- Touch ID
- 8MP iSight Camera (Slow-mo, Time lapse and 1080HD video.)
- A whole new wireless band.
- iOS 8.1
5 Thing i like about iPad Air 2
- To me the weight of a tablet matters a lot. Since lots of hands on video state that this is the lightest tablet they held by far. (I would choose this over iPad Mini 3)
- A whole new faster processor chips. Which is kind of an expected upgrade but hey, who doesn't like it ?
- Touch ID is my most fav feature. Unlocking your ipad or buying stuff on iPad by using your thumb? such a easy way to improve the experience of using iPad.
- Faster Wifi and LTE band. This make streaming on iPad a hell of lot of enjoyment. (Netfilx, Hulu Plus)
- Battery life- Still as good as before despite having a faster and powerful chip.
iPad Mini 3 - With Touch ID
This is a disappointing upgrade. It's basically iPad Mini 2 plus the whole new Touch ID. Period.
iPad Air 2 or iPad Mini 3?
Don't get me wrong, i am not saying iPad mini 3 is bad. It's still the Mini size that people like about it. However, The processing power is still the same as usual, hence i would rather go for iPad Air 2 - With just a $100 more, for a faster and a more features product, why not?
iPad Air 2 starting price at (US $499) while iPad Mini 3 at (US $399)

iMac (2014) 27Inch and 5k Display
- 27inch display at 5210x2880 Pixel (14.7Million Pixels)
- 3.5GHz - 4.5GHz quad-core I5 and I7 processor.
- Turbo Boost up to 20x faster. (For rendering videos and mulit-tasking)
- AMD Graphic card with 3.5 TeraFlops of graphic computing.
- Up to 3TB fusion drive
- Thunderbolt 2
- OS x Yosemite
I have never used before an iMac, but judging from the specs, it a powerful beast to use.
All i know is that with the turbo boost and their latest processor, it makes rendering videos, compressing sounds and etc much faster. This iMac target audience is for the "Pro" which they really use it very intensively. The price for this beast is at USD $2799. I guess i would just get a Macbook pro if i were to start my own short film. Nevertheless this is definitely a great iMac to have.
