The smartphone is retailing at SGD $1098.

Each purchase will come along with an LG Watch W7 that is worth (SGD $598) and by the way, It is not sold in Singapore at the moment of this post.



Seriously, isn't the bundle very tempting? Technically your will phone cost around SGD 500+ only. WOW??????????

5 CAM IN ONE PHONE THAT YOU WILL LOVE

LG V40+ came equipped with 5 cameras in total. ( 2 in front and 3 behind ). 

Front Display consist equip with one 8MP Standard Lens and with an additional 5MP Wide Lens so that you can capture more when you are taking your selfie with your friends. 
At the rear, it still has the awesome 16MP Wide Angle Lens and 12MP Standard Lens. However, this time they added the 12MP Telephoto lens so that portrait lover would still be able to take awesome portrait shot anytime you want.

Additionally, they also enhanced the camera features too. 

  1. Triple Shot - You will be able to take 3 kinds of shots using the rear camera together at the same time. Hence the name: Triple Shot.
  2. Cine Shot - You will be able to take an animated still photo. You can choose what you want to animate. It's very fun to play with and share it with your friends too.

  3. Story Shot - You can be like a photoshop pro and paste yourself in any picture. It looks very real. As if you are really there.
Since this has the ThinQ. The smartphone boasts Dual PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), which delivers automatic focusing that is 50 percent faster — about twice as fast as the industry average. Hence your subject will always be in focus since the camera checks sharpness continuously until the shutter button is pressed.

LG V40+ equipped with 6.4 Inch FullVision OLED display with bezels that is close to none existence and also paired with the awesome speaker that we all enjoyed on the LG G7+. Boom Box experience is still here, so when you place the smartphone on a solid surface or hollow box, it will acts like a woofers to amplify the bass even further.

Furthermore, the first LG phone to carry the Audio Tuned by Meridian label. The 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC produces a balanced sound signature that comes extremely close to the quality of an original recording. 

You will definitely enjoy watching Netflix or listening to Spotify using this phone. Your ear will thank you for that.

[CES 2019] LG Partners with Microsoft to Accelerate Automotive Revolution!

Lots of CES news to cover and hence I will try my best to cover the interesting news first before moving on to those products that I would love to see it sooner. 


LG Electronics (LG) and Microsoft entered into a memorandum of understanding to enhance and further grow LG’s autonomous vehicle and infotainment system business. Under the terms of the partnership, LG will accelerate the transformation of its existing digital platform for the vehicle industry, seen as key growth engines for the company, by leveraging Microsoft’s Azure cloud and artificial intelligence technologies along with LG’s future self-driving software.

LG will apply Microsoft’s AI knowhow to its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Driver-Status Monitoring Camera (DSM) and Multi-Purpose Front Camera products and incorporate Microsoft’s Virtual Assistant Solution Accelerator in LG’s infotainment systems. And with Azure Data Box service, data captured on the road can be uploaded automatically to create a library that helps the self-driving software grow even smarter.

In addition, LG plans to build innovative digital development and testing grounds employing state-of-the-art technology. High-performance computing (HPC) and graphics processing unit (GPU) supported by Microsoft Azure will drastically reduce the time required for LG AI self-driving software to learn and evolve. Road and traffic patterns in cities that would normally require more than a full day for self-driving systems to comprehend would take only minutes with Azure.

And Azure can help AI self-driving software learn diverse patterns displayed by drivers as well as recognize and distinguish between pedestrians and other objects. By embedding AI self-driving software enhanced by Azure within the ADAS, performance of the DSM and Multi-Purpose Front Camera can be dramatically improved. 

“Our expectation is that the combination of Microsoft’s advanced cloud infrastructure with LG’s fast-growing automotive components business will accelerate the self-driving auto industry as a whole,” said Kim Jin-yong, president of LG’s Vehicle Component Solutions Company. “We’re confident that the combination of Microsoft and LG technologies will create a new benchmark in autonomous auto AI.” “Together LG and Microsoft can help shape the future of transportation,” said Sanjay Ravi, general manager, automotive industry at Microsoft. “Working together, we can empower automakers to deliver differentiated mobility experiences, create new services and revenue opportunities, and to build safer, more intelligent and more sustainable vehicles.”

 Super looking forward to the result of this collaboration between them. Hopefully, we get to see it happening in Singapore itself. Technology is always so cool!

1) More Memory and Storage.

2) Vision AI Streamlines the photography and search experience

AI CAM
analyzes the subject in the frame and recommends the optimal shooting mode among eight categories:

Based on the categories, it will determine/recommend the best setting for the photo itself.

It takes advantage of the image recognition capabilities to scan QR codes. Capture an item of interest with QLens to get information of the product as well as recommendations of similar items. Perform an image search with QLens to see matching or similar images of food, fashion, and celebrities or detailed information of landmarks such as buildings and statues. 

3) LG-Exclusive Voice Commands for Greater Efficiency 
Another new feature is Voice AI, which allows users to run apps and change settings through voice commands alone. Working alongside Google Assistant, the LG-exclusive Voice AI commands eliminate the need to search through menu options; users can quickly activate specific functions, such as taking wide-angle photos or pop art Cine video. 

Conclusion- 

Honestly, I would recommend you guys to get this phone only if you do not own LG v30+ now or you are using a 1 - 2 years old smartphone.
